We Rock Lincoln Square

Our media production company, Curb Cut Media, is at it again.  This time, with a rockin' video about Lincoln Square, a great little off-the-beaten-path neighborhood on the north side of Chicago.

More Media Attention

Dave (my husband and business partner) and I get more than our fair share of media attention due to our marketng efforts on the internet and our videos.  Here's a list of a few nice opportunities that have come our way:

  • Dave appeared in a nice, long radio interview on Real Estate Radio USA about our Wicker Park video
  • I was featured in a front page article in the Chicago Tribune's real estate section about marketing
  • Dave has been featured in two internet marketing and video articles that were published in the National Association of REALTORs monthly trade magazine
  • I was the featured REALTOR on the most watched HGTV "House Hunters" show ever - "More Room for Baby" (I have another espisode of "House Hunters" airing this month).
  • Our videos were written about in a very popular real estate marketing blog called "The Future of Real Estate Marketing".

Dave and I just got an email yesterday from someone who manages several very large real estate web sites, and we hope there are some more good promotional opportunities there, too.  We'll see.

Yes, all this publicity helps us to build our business, but it helps our clients, too.  Our notariety becomes their notariety, and our brand becomes bigger and bigger as time goes by.  Additionally, our focus on new media and the internet targets qualified buyers and sellers very effectively. 

There's no doubt people are finding us on the internet.  And when they find us, they find our clients, too.

The Pieces of Our Videos

Our full length We Rock Wicker Park video has been getting a lot of play on real estate blogs lately.  And quite honestly, some of the feedback has been that the opening Chicago Montage is too long.

I'm just going to throw this out there for everyone, so that you understand our thinking and why the introduction is the way it is.

It's meant to be a flexible piece that can stand alone on its own, as well as be married to a neighborhood video.  Since it's length is almost exactly 1:00, it's a perfect candidate for a fairly standard TV or new media commercial, suitable for paid inclusion into varying media.

Perhaps we will cut it down a bit when it is used in conjunction with a neighborhood video. We'll see. Personally, I've seen the entire video 150 times, and I don't get tired of watching it - the pacing is perfect and the music drives hard enough to keep me interested. But I'm biased. What do you think?

Lincoln Square Video Coming Soon

We just previewed the raw footage from our next real estate video, and it looks great.

The video is backed by some new music, which sounds fantastic.  There's a little more editing to do, and a bit more audio mixing, so we're hoping to have it up on the 'net right after the holidays.
